Anchor Health Properties Relocates Mid-Atlantic Office to Media, Pennsylvania
We are pleased to announce that our Wilmington, Delaware office has moved to a new location into the heart of downtown Media, Pennsylvania. Our new address is:
216 South Orange Street, Media, PA 19063
Our old office served the Anchor platform well for many years, functioning as the company headquarters prior to our merger with Brinkman Management & Development in 2016, and we made great memories (and healthcare spaces) in that space. With growth comes change, and we couldn't be more excited about our new location, which Anchor now owns. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building, which is formally named Hillhurst, was built in 1850 and was originally used as a summer vacation cottage for John Biddle and family. Designed by the well-known Quaker architect, Addison Hutton, the building is a notable example of a Victorian townhouse of the late 19th century. Most recently, the building has served as a multi-tenanted office space that was home to numerous Media based law firms. Our new home has undergone major interior and exterior renovations to modernize the space to fit our needs while maintaining the historic and unique character of the building. We will be subleasing a portion of the building space to Social Enrichment Center starting in August 2019.
“We are delighted with the new office space for our Philadelphia area team,” said James Schmid, Chief Investment Officer and co-managing principal. “Our Media, PA space provides a convenient and centralized area location that benefits our employees as well as our existing and future clients. We were able to lean on Anchor’s in-house development expertise as well as our local relationships to bring a 21st century renovation to the Hillhurst building. Having grown up very near the building, I am thrilled for the opportunity to invest in my hometown and becoming a staple in the local community. We are looking forward to getting to know our neighbors.”
It has been an exciting few years for Anchor Health Properties, and we look at this new location as the start of another chapter in our history. We are still working on getting settled in and adding artwork to the walls, but we're incredibly glad to be in the new space.
We thank you everyone for their support through the years and with the move with a special thank you to our contractor, RZ Contracting, who did a phenomenal job building out the new space, Katie O’Hara Designs for making our new location look great, Zommick McMahon Commercial Real Estate who brokered the deal, and to M&T Bank who provided the financing to acquire and renovate the building.
We look forward to working with you in our beautiful historic office.
