Anchor Health Properties Commences Construction on Capital Health - Oxford Valley Micro-Hospital
In support of the company’s commitment to pursue better healthcare through real estate solutions, Anchor Health Properties has commenced construction on Capital Health - Oxford Valley, a new 53,000 square foot micro-hospital located at 280 Middletown Boulevard in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Serving as the owner's representative and development manager, Anchor Health Properties will lead project oversight on behalf of Capital Health, guiding the design and construction process.
The dynamic renovation will transform an existing medical outpatient building into Capital Health's first inpatient facility in Pennsylvania, marking a significant expansion of the health system's presence beyond New Jersey. Located in the high-growth Oxford Valley corridor, the micro-hospital will include an Emergency Department, diagnostic procedures and services, and inpatient beds for short-stay, low-acuity patients.
"This project represents an important milestone for Capital Health and the communities it serves," shared Matt Pirolli, Vice President, Development with Anchor Health Properties. "As the Oxford Valley area continues to grow, this micro-hospital expands Capital Health's presence in Pennsylvania by adding its first inpatient location, complementing the health system's established outpatient network. It's a forward-thinking model that reflects how healthcare is meeting patients where they are."
Capital Health - Oxford Valley builds on Anchor Health Properties’ longstanding relationship with the health system, which includes multiple ground up, renovation, and facility improvement projects across its portfolio. The micro-hospital supports continued investment within the Oxford Valley corridor by creating a centralized healthcare destination that complements the area's expanding residential and commercial development.
"We have worked alongside Capital Health on several renovation projects over the years, and what makes this one special is the opportunity to bring so many essential services together in one place," noted Lesley Yocum, Development Director with Anchor Health Properties. "The result is a more connected patient experience and a flexible facility designed to support Capital Health's future growth."
The project team includes regionally based firms with a proven track record of successfully delivering dynamic healthcare facilities together, including NK Architects, a top architecture firm and national healthcare market leader, and Target Building Construction, a leading contractor in the Philadelphia area specializing in healthcare. The facility is slated to open in early 2028.
