Anchor Health Properties & ChristianaCare Reposition More Than 190,000 Square Feet of Clinical Medical Space
Furthering the Company’s purpose to pursue better healthcare through real estate solutions, Anchor Health Properties (Anchor), a national, full service healthcare real estate development, management, and investment compay focused exclusively on medical outpatient buildings and specialty healthcare facilities, is proud to announce the successful repositioning of five medical outpatient buildings across Delaware and Chester Counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Through a collaboration with ChristianaCare, a nationally recognized, not-for-profit health system based in Delaware, 191,335 square feet of formerly vacant space has been reactivated across the following outpatient facilities:
300 & 500 Evergreen Drive, Glen Mills, PA
30 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA
2010 & 2050 West Chester Pike, Havertown, PA
This portfolio-wide commitment marks a significant milestone in Anchor’s broader effort to increase access to community-based outpatient care while strengthening the long-term value and performance of these assets.
"As someone who calls Delaware County home, it is especially meaningful to contribute to expanding access to care right here in our backyard," shared James Schmid, Chief Investment Officer with Anchor. “We are honored to align with a mission-driven organization like ChristianaCare."
The strategic partnership introduces ChristianaCare to these sites, where they will deliver a wide range of outpatient services tailored to meet the growing needs of the local patient population.
Echoing Mr. Schmid’s sentiments, Tyler Peckham, Asset Manager with Anchor, added "We are thrilled to welcome ChristianaCare into these buildings and to have played a key role in unlocking the potential of these assets. With strong, complementary healthcare tenancy and a forward-looking strategy, we are confident in the continued growth and momentum across the portfolio."
CBRE’s healthcare real estate experts, Thomas Stone and Brannan Knott, advised ChristianaCare throughout the transaction.
As owner of the buildings, Anchor will continue to provide go forward asset and property management services at these locations. Anchor’s owned and managed portfolio in the greater Philadelphia MSA totals more than 1.5 million square feet.
