Anchor Health Properties Celebrates Topping Out of New Baptist Health Rehabilitation Hospital
Marking a significant milestone in the construction of a new inpatient rehabilitation facility in South Florida, Anchor recently celebrated the topping out of the Baptist Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Located at 7160 SW 62 Avenue, the three-story, 100,000 square foot facility will include 62 inpatient beds and provide specialized care for patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, and other complex conditions.
“As we reach this key point in construction, we are proud to honor the collective work of our partners, Baptist Health South Florida and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, as well as the full project team who are helping to bring this important facility to life,” shared Richard Paddock, Senior Vice President, Development & Partner with Anchor. “This rehabilitation hospital is designed to help patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence in a setting that puts their well-being first.”
The new facility is being developed by Anchor Health Properties in partnership with Baptist Health South Florida and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health. Lifepoint Rehabilitation will operate the hospital in collaboration with Baptist Health, helping expand access to inpatient rehab services in the region.
“This milestone marks a meaningful step forward in expanding access to specialized, high-quality rehabilitation care in South Florida,” added Will Foster, Senior Development Director with Anchor. “We’re proud to play a role in creating a space where patients and their families can find support, healing, and renewed strength close to home.”
Slated for completion in Summer 2026, key members of the project team with extensive healthcare facility experience include, Earl Swensson Associates, a multidisciplinary architectural firm, Robins & Morton, a full service general contractor, and Kimley Horn, a premier civil engineering consultant.
