Anchor Health Properties Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of New Multi-Specialty Outpatient Facility in Lawrenceville, Georgia
In support of the company’s purpose to pursue better healthcare through real estate solutions, Anchor proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of Horizon Professional Center II, a new 20,626 square foot medical outpatien facility. Held at 595 Hurricane Shoals Road in Lawrenceville, Georgia, the event marked a significant milestone in the company’s continued expansion across the greater Atlanta MSA, where Anchor now operates nearly one million square feet of healthcare real estate.
Strategically located adjacent to an existing 40,000 square foot, three-story medical outpatient building acquired by Anchor in 2023, the new facility creates a cohesive, multi-specialty outpatient campus in the heart of Lawrenceville’s medical corridor near Northside Gwinnett Hospital.
“This facility is a testament to the strength of our integrated platform and our commitment to growing with purpose in the Atlanta region,” shared Mervyn Alphonso, Executive Vice President & Partner with Anchor. “Since opening our Atlanta office four years ago, we have experienced tremendous growth. Bringing this project to completion is not only exciting for our team — it also represents a meaningful investment in the local community’s health and wellness.”
Designed to prioritize comfort, convenience, and efficiency, the single-story building features spacious waiting areas, ample surface parking, and patient-centric layouts. Complementary tenancy in the facility are Women’s Group of Gwinnett, affiliated with Northside Hospital, a leading OB/GYN provider in the region, and US Fertility, a nationally recognized network of fertility clinics. Their presence underscores the campus’s focus on expanding women’s healthcare services in a high-growth community.
The adjacent facility houses established healthcare tenants, including Northside Health, Fresenius Medical Care, Georgia Nephrology, Palmetto Infusion, Amedisys Home Health, and Gwinnett Pediatrics—enhancing the campus’s ability to provide comprehensive, coordinated care.
Elliott Sellers, Senior Vice President, Investments & Partner with Anchor, noted, “Opening the doors to this new facility represents a major step forward in expanding access to high-quality clinical medical space in Lawrenceville. We are already exploring future development phases to meet continued demand.”
In close collaboration with key leadership and stakeholders from Northside Hospital, Women’s Group of Gwinnett and US Fertility, Anchor provided expertise and resources throughout every phase of the project, including due diligence, financial analysis, planning, programming, design and construction oversight, and post-occupancy commissioning. As part of its integrated healthcare real estate solutions, Anchor will also deliver on-going asset and property management services to ensure long-term success of the facility.
Joe Hackney, Senior Development Director with Anchor, added, “We’re proud to bring this facility to life with partners who share our mission. This campus offers patients a first-class destination for outpatient care, and its proximity to Northside Gwinnett Hospital supports seamless coordination between hospital-based and community-based providers.”
Regionally based firms offering extensive healthcare facility experience served as key members of the project team, including LDDBlueline, a multi disciplinary architectural firm, Freese Johnson, a full service general contractor, and Kimley Horn, one of the nation’s premier engineering, planning, and design consultants.
All services offered at Horizon Professional Center II are expected to be fully operational by mid-May, 2025.
