Anchor Health Properties (Anchor) is pleased to announce the closing of the Clearview Cancer Institute (“CCI”) medical office building in Huntsville, AL.  Anchor Health Properties sourced the transaction and worked with an institutional equity partner, Physicians Realty Trust to fund the investment.

The three story, 112,500 square foot Class A project was developed in 2006 and previously owned by a subset of physicians who comprise the CCI oncology practice.  The building houses CCI’s operational headquarters in the Huntsville market, featuring two linear accelerators and multiple oncology bays, in addition to traditional medical office space.  Huntsville Hospital is also a subtenant in the building, providing outpatient services. 

Anchor Chief Executive Officer Ben Ochs stated, “Creating and sourcing this opportunity and providing management services for the CCI medical office building allows us to build upon our growing footprint in the Southeastern United States.  Our operations have historically extended across the state of Tennessee, and gaining a large footprint in northern Alabama is a natural extension of that.  We intend to provide regional leadership for the building out of our Nashville, TN office.  Adding this best-in-class facility and tenant to the Anchor roster further solidifies our focus on supporting clinical users with their real estate needs”.
